Gator Bowl: Clemson (7-5) vs. Nebraska (8-4), 1 p.m., Jan. 1 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Clemson will win if. . . Running back C.J. Spiller burns the Cornhuskers with his speed for a couple big plays on offense or special teams–and the Tigers’ DBs get a pick or two. Clemson won’t win the battle on either line of scrimmage, but the Tigers do a good job of keeping opponents off the scoreboard (16.6 ppg).

Nebraska will win if. . . it continues to play with that Bo Pelini-sized chip on its shoulder. The Huskers have balance on offense and can do damage if they soften up the Tigers with running back Roy Helu Jr. (804 yards, 7 TDs) to set up the passing game with QB Joe Ganz (3,332 yards, 23 TDs, 10 INTs) and wide receiver Nate Swift (909 yards, 9 TDs). Nebraska scored at least 40 points in its last three games, all wins.
