holy-grail-aleI know it’s St. Patrick’s Day … but am not a fan of corned beef and cabbage … well I was … but being plant-based …

At any rate … with my Sunday night pizza … with no Irish Brew available … I decided to go with a cold bottle of Monty Python’s Holy Grail Ale!  Here is a brief description: Another fine addition to the Black Sheep flock of premium bottle ales. This ale was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python in 1999.

As they also say: You can always taste the difference when an ale has been tempered by burning witches. In this respect Holy Grail certainly doesn’t disappoint with its clean zesty flavor and long crisp bitter finish.  Holy Grail is brewed with Maris Otter malt, an old and expensive variety that is renowned for the taste and the quality of the beer it produces.  A touch of wheat helps deliver the lovely creamy head and lacing down the glass – just what you would expect from a proper Yorkshire beer!

pizzaTonight’s pizza is a bit different…a focaccia bread…with some veggies.  As an update I have lost almost 25 pounds since going plant-based … or is that plant-strong!
