In Texas it is said that there are but 3 food groups; Tex-Mex, BBQ, and Fried.

But, starting today, I will begin a “month-long” vegan diet.  That means no meat of any kind and no dairy products.  For those of you who know me well, that may be a bit of a struggle!

Today started with a soy protein shake (pineapple/banana) and was pretty good!  What follows each and every meal will be an adventure … but it is for the best.

My goal is three-fold: 1) drop some weight, 2) lower my cholesterol; and 3) get off the 2 meds I am currently taking.  So, I am summoning up my strength (and prayers) to get this done … and am happy my Sunday adult beverage (all grain!!!) is still on my list!  But a veggie pizza is out of the question (at least for now!)
