A recent trip to Dallas led me to a place where I can put together a 6-pack of adult beverages … with 6 different brews!  I like to try different ones … and am taking one out this evening to go with a good-looking DiGiorno 3-meat with mushroom pizza!

Tonight I am going with a Colorado brew … it is after all my state of birth!

Accompanying my pizza with be Breckenridge Avalanche Amber Ale.  From their website: Slides down easy: That’s what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat.  We blend pale and caramel malts—and just a kiss of bittering hops—to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, anytime beer.  Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

My own take on this… Nice head … not overly thick … good sniff to it … great looking amber color … and like they say themselves … a bit of a bitter hop taste … nice carbonation … and it does slide down easily!  This might be a brewery to visit … and and stare out at the 2,358 acres of ski slopes just outside the door.
