For the last several weeks my rhythm has been thrown off by all sorts of things … and this is also the reason I have missed my Sunday night pizza and cold adult beverage.  Now … understand … it has not been a pizza-free time … and I did quaff a cold one after doing a hot wedding … but love these Sunday nights.

First off … before I go any further … this is my political statement … and then on the the pizza and cold one!

Now let’s move on to what occurred tonight.  The pizza was a fresh made 3-meat pizza that I bought at WalMart!  Doctored with fresh mushrooms, this is still my favorite … not the WalMart brand … but meat and mushrooms!  And like my beer … I do not do fruit on my pizza!

The beer choice tonight came from the variety pack of Real Ale Brewery in Brazos, Texas.  Out of the fridge on a hot night night is Firemans #4 Blonde Ale.  Here is their description: This refreshing blonde ale strikes a perfect balance between the smoothness of the malt, the subtle fruitiness of our house ale yeast, and zesty citrus notes from Crystal hops. Firemans #4 is a great way to beat the heat – enjoy it on a Texas summer day, or pair it with spicy foods to help put out the fire. The name comes from our good friends at Firemans Texas Cruzer, a local bike builder. Check out their rad bikes at firemansbikes.com

Firemans is a refreshing Texas classic and is about as satisfyingly drinkable as they come.
