Tonight I am watching the College World Series … having a bit of pizza … and sampling another new brew from Real Ale Brewery in Blanco, Texas.

From their website: Deep golden and malty, with a spicy hop flavor and well balanced hop bitterness, Rio Blanco Pale Ale is a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale. Czech Saaz hops provide a crisp finish and delicate finish.

My review: It has a spicy hop flavor and well balanced hop bitterness.  Overall, I liked this beer, it has a little bit of a bite to it in the mouth and the aftertaste lingers nicely.  It pours a nice golden color and produces a good head in this glass.

The pizza is an old favorite … a Jack’s pepperoni/sausage and mushroom.

As for the CWS … my 2 under-dog favorites … Stony Brook and Kent State seem destined what is called “2 and ‘cue” … which means you lose 2 games, they give you a BBQ. and you go home.

At any rate … a nice Sunday night at Casa de Kolb!
